Imagined West: Occidentalist narrative in Finnish news media in the context of war in Ukraine

The West is discussed in public sphere as if it were a definite, nation-state-like region. The purpose of this study is to analyze the narratives of the West in Finnish news media, the imagery they create of the West, and their identity and geopolitical consequences in the context of the war in Ukraine. The results of the study can be utilized in scientific, journalistic, and political expert work.
