The career of Henrik Tikkanen, the fiction and non-fiction writer (1924–1984), has been thoroughly written about. However, his role as a newspaper illustrator was significant and therefore part of Finnish newspaper history. Book will deal with his career in Hufvudstadsbladet and Helsingin Sanomat. Apart from his own reportages and aphorisms Tikkanen illustrated a lot of quality feature journalism by other reporters.
