Tekla Hultin was the first full-time female journalist in Finland, the first woman to gain a PhD in the field of history, the only woman in the meetings of the Young Finnish Party and one of the earliest female members of parliament in the world. Her achievements are recognized and often celebrated; nonetheless, there is no up-to-date biography of Tekla Hultin. This project will explore her life, career and political thinking.
