In Finland, the regulation of defamation amendment in 2014. The background of amendment was the convictions that Finland received in violation of freedom of speech, especially in cases of defamation from the European Court of the Human Rights. The research project analyses the effects of the amendment based on the case law. Special focus of the research is mass media, journalists and public figures.
