Quantification has become a central way to represent the world and to legitimize political decisions. We investigate how quantification operates as a form of epistemic governance in politics and media. We unravel practices of quantification in politics in order to improve data literacy in politics and media. We focus on two policy areas: employment policy and gender equality policy.
