The study examines voluntary exclusion from social media as experienced by four very different non-user groups. The study analyzes experiences of inclusion and outsourcing that arise from the meaning-giving of non-users and through them, identifies agency positions and connections to publics. The study collects diary and thematic interview material, which is analyzed using a combination of qualitative Situational Analysis and Cultural Discourse Analysis methods.
